In The Arms of His Savior

James W. Miller
7/1/1964 - 12/3/2009
Jim went to be with his Lord on Thursday night at 11:30 p.m. surrounded by his sons and me who showered him with love and singing. It is a comfort to know that he is in the presence of the Lord but we are overwhelmed with grief at his passing.
Funeral arrangements are as follows: Visitation will be held Saturday, December 5 from 6:00-8:00 pm, and Sunday, December 6 from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm at McComb's Funeral Home, Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46814.The funeral service will be held Monday, December 7 at 10:30 am with visitation one hour prior to the service at Emmanuel Community Church, 12222 US 24 West, Fort Wayne, IN 46814.
We continue to trust in our most powerful God for the days, months and years that lie ahead as we continue on without our loving husband and father. Thank you for all your love and support and for continually lifting us up before the Lord.

You don't know me. I'm cousin Clarrisa's officemate at work. She filled me in on some of the struggles you've faced in the past couple of years. I just want to let you know that my prayers are joined with the many others who are holding you and your boys up around the throne.

We can't imagine the grief you and the boys are in right now..but we know God WILL get you through it as He has in the past.

Thank you for the blog to keep us informed.

Planning to attend the funeral and hope to talk with you then.

We've lost a very good, Godly man. I am reminded of Psalm 116:15 - "Precious in the sight of the Lord Is the death of His saints."

Jim and your family have been amazing witnesses for the Lord through it all. Please be assured that our prayer support will not stop with Jim's passing. We will pray for all of you in the days, weeks, and months ahead.

Thankfully, the Lord does not require that we understand it all. He only asks that we trust Him for strength to carry on.

Love in Christ,

I will be praying for all of you.

"I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Have I not commanded you?
Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid
for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you.

Jim was an amazing man and will be missed by all. I can still hear his laugh and see his smile. I will continue to keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.

Marylin and family:
It was with great sadness I learned of Jim's passing from John Katsimpilis. I worked with Jim at Navistar before I left the company in 2007. I also coached PAL football with the Raiders for 25 years. Jim and I talked PAL football and teaching youths not only the game, but about life and responsibility and faith. As I look at his picture I can not help but remember what a wonderful man he was and what a great smile. He always brightened up my day when he stopped by my office. I know your family will miss him dearly. Please accept my heartfelt and deep sympathy.

Hi,
I am a friend of Jim who worked with him at International for 5 years. I left International about 3years ago and moved to Cincinnati.
I called John Katsimpalis today only to learn the passing of Jim. I was crying in my office and cried on my drive home.
Jim was a generous friend with a big heart. I will surely miss him.
I know he was a religious man and reading this blog I feel the faith was shared by his family.

My prayers to the family and may God bless the soul of my friend Jim.
